We specialize is site development, excavation and grading, drainage, industrial and residential underground piping, structural excavation, sewer, water, storm drains, plus any type of underground utility work you may need.

Estimating/Project manager
Robert Z. Diment has 18 years experience in all aspects of underground construction. He started working in 1991 for Dietrich Corporation, where he gained experience in the mainline water, sewer and storm drains as an equipment operator and pipe layer. From 1996-1998, he was employed by PCL Construction as a lead pipe layer and supervisor for the Spanish Fork Canyon Waterline Project. He passed the E-100 Contractors License exam in 1999. He worked with his Dad as co-owner and vice president of Robert C. Diment Construction from 1998-2002 and started his own company, Midwest Excavating in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2002. Robert is responsible for all administrative aspects of the business and has successfully completed all projects awarded to him
Site Superintendent
From a young age until age 16, Bryce worked in the summers helping his Dad Zach on the job. From the ages of 16-19, Bryce worked for Beehive Excavating as a pipelayer and equipment operator. Bryce then went on to work for his Dad as an equipment operator and later became foreman. He now works for Midwest Excavating as Site Superintendent. Major projects Bryce has worked on include:

Office Manager
Faith has worked for Midwest Excavating, Inc as the Office Manager since June 2018. She’s the friendly voice you often hear on the phone and works hard to keep us organized. She performs additional office functions such as data entry and bookkeeping. Faith currently attends Salt Lake Community College and has volunteered with the Utah Food Bank and the Refugee Center helping with organization, teaching and leadership.
